Description

Coltsfoot is one of the first spring wildflowers to bloom. The flowers, which emerge from the ground before the leaves, somewhat resemble dandelions, but the stalks are long and, unlike dandelions, have scale leaves. After the blooms have gone to seed a single large green leaf emerges.
