Relationships

Over-browse by White-tailed Deer is one of the greatest issues impacting biodiversity in our region. The White-tailed Deer population imbalance results in extreme over-browsing of woodland habitats, annihilating whole plant communities and removing the shrub layer necessary for many breeding bird species. Deer preference for native species gives invasive plant species an even greater advantage, which further compounds the problem.
