Status

Common winter resident in sections of the Eastern Shore, where it can be locally abundant. Uncommon across the rest of the state, usually small numbers with Canada Goose flocks. Small numbers known to summer, especially on the Eastern Shore, often involving injured birds.

Description

Large white goose with black wingtips. Compare smaller Ross's Goose, which is rare but regular in large flocks of geese.
