Catallagia borealis is a "winter flea." That is, it is usually collected during the colder months of the year. Its distribution is extensive in eastern Canada (Holland, 1985) and New England, and it is known from the adjacent states of Pennsylvania and West Virginia (Benton, 1980). (Eckerlin, 2011)
