Description

Cap: Cinnamon to pinkish-tan (in age); flat to depressed; thin; inrolled margin when young, wavy in age. Gills: Whitish to pinkish-buff. Stalk: Buff becoming brown to nearly black near base; tough; apex smooth, remainder hairy to velvety (J. Solem, pers. comm.).

Where To Find

Habitat: On leaf litter under hardwoods. The similar G. dichrous occurs on wood and has swollen point of attachment.
